Great catch- I will fix that. I use about a pound to a pound and a quarter (sometimes it's hard to find a package that is exacty 1 pound). Let me know how it turns out!

Hi Lisa,
I love your site, and since it's going to get chilly here this evening and down to the 40s overnight, I may try your chili recipe. It sounds great. I have one that uses chicken breast cut into bite-size pieces and browned instead of the ground meat, and I use black beans, cannellini, and red kidney beans to make it colorful. (I never got into the Cincinnati way of doing things either.)

Thanks friend! I would love an accountability buddy. I'm going to try 100 dollars a week for groceries (which isn't skimpy, but it is easy to spend twice that!) and February 1st is our start date for the cash budget. Would love the recipe, even if it isn't GF I bet I could adjust it to make sure it is. :)

Bravo, Lisa! Love your list (and you!). If you need an accountability buddy, I'd be happy to commit to #s 1-4 with you, and keep in touch with you about how we're doing.
What'd you set your grocery budget at anyway? How're you doing with a cash system so far?
I made a yummy butternut squash-chipotle-fresh rosemary soup (topped with toasted pumpkin seeds) the other night for supper... if that sounds good to you, and like something you could eat (I'm GF ignorant), let me know and I'd be happy to share the recipe. xo- ttp
