How Long Do You Cook Ham in an Air Fryer?

There are many different air fryers that have different settings but most air fryers cook at the same temperatures.

For my air fryer ham recipe, I cook mine at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes and it cooks perfectly every time.

You will want to make sure that your ham is cut into appropriate-sized pieces for air frying before you start cooking it. Luckily, most store-bought spiral hams come pre-sliced on the bone, so you just need to cut off the pieces!

The air fryer ham recipe that I share below is very simple and easy to follow. It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t have the time or resources to cook an entire Christmas ham all day long!

Can You Reheat Ham in an Air Fryer?

Yes, you can! You can actually reheat your ham the same way you cooked it in the first place!

The air fryer is great for heating up holiday leftovers the day after all the celebrations when you just want to relax and not have to cook.

How Do You Reheat Ham Slices in an Air Fryer?

To air-fry pre-cooked ham slices, place them in the air fryer basket and set your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Treat this like you would if you were air frying any other meat.

It should take about 15 minutes to re-heat your already cooked ham slices. If you want to crisp up the outside of your air fryer ham slices before serving it, you can spray the ham with some cooking spray and cook them for an additional few minutes.

Before re-heating ham in your air fryer, lightly spray your air frying basket with cooking spray and place the ham slices in the basket. Just try not to overcrowd them so that they heat evenly.

How Long Do You Cook a 2.5 Pound Ham?

If you are cooking a pre-cooked ham from the grocery store, you should be able to cook it for about 10 minutes per pound.

If you purchase a raw ham, however, you will need to cook it at about 20 minutes per pound.

Just make sure the internal temperature of any ham you are cooking reaches at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit when inserting a meat thermometer in the middle away from any bone.

Can I Fry My Ham?

Besides air frying, you can pan fry or even deep fry ham if that is what you prefer! This method will make your ham crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.

However, this method of cooking ham is not the most healthy option. Air frying does not use any oil and the holes in the air frying basket drain excess grease.

This makes air frying a much healthier choice with no extra added fat.

Other Tips for Cooking Ham

There are actually a variety of ways that you can make ham for your holiday dinner this year!

Ham is a very versatile meat and it can be absolutely delicious with a plethora of different preparation and cooking methods.

Air Fryer Ham Steak

If you are not in the mood for a traditional spiral ham, you can air fry some ham steaks!

Ham steaks are thicker slices of ham that have been cut from a whole ham roast. You can buy them with or without the bone.

Simply air fry ham steaks the same way as you would fry regular ham slices. You may just need a few extra minutes to cook all the way through since ham steaks are thicker.

Frozen Ham in the Air Fryer

It is best to thaw your ham before cooking it in your air fryer but you can cook the ham directly from frozen if you have a bit of patience.

You will want to cook your frozen ham at 350 degrees Fahrenheit at about 20 minutes per pound.

Also, be sure to flip your ham slices at least once during cooking to make sure they are evenly thawed and cooked through.

Just be sure to check that the internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit and cook longer if needed in order to reach the desired temp.

Air Fryer Ham With Pineapple

Want to add a bit of extra flavor to your ham? How about some pineapple slices?

If you would like to make air fryer ham with pineapple, just add some pineapple slices (fresh or canned) to the tops of your ham slices about 5 minutes before the cooking time ends.

You can also sprinkle some brown sugar on top or top with maraschino cherries, it is delicious!

How Long To Cook a Country Ham in the Air Fryer?

If you prefer the flavor of country ham over traditional spiral ham, that’s totally fine! You can definitely cook a country ham in your air fryer as well.

You will cook your country ham the exact same way as you cook your traditional sliced ham in the air fryer, just make sure you cut your slices pretty thin so they don’t take too long to cook.

And just always be sure to check that internal temperature before serving!

Keto Air Fryer Ham

If you are following a keto or low-carb diet, air frying your ham is an excellent choice!

Since air fryers do not require any oil to cook with, they will be perfect for cooking some healthy air-fried ham that will help you stick to your macros.

You can simply season your ham with salt and pepper or any of your favorite keto-approved seasonings before cooking to make delicious ham slices that are keto-friendly.
