Ingredients and Notes

  • Gluten free flour tortillas (we love Mission brand)
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Cooked ground sausage
  • Bell pepper, minced
  • Bacon bits
  • Shredded cheese (we use cheddar)
  • Cooking spray

Gluten-free tortilla wraps - you will want an excellent gluten-free tortilla that is wrappable. I would suggest using one made from gluten-free flour rather than corn. We really like the Mission brand wraps.

Cooked ground sausage - feel free to use any other ground meat if you are not a sausage fan. You could try ground turkey or ground chicken. Just make sure to season it well.

Shredded cheese - you can use any cheese you like for this recipe. We prefer to use sharp cheddar, but you could try pepper jack, gouda, etc.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep

  1. First, combine the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon bits, bell pepper, and cheese in a large bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Next, scoop out about ½ cup of the mixture and place it into the center of one flour tortilla.
  3. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it together somewhat tightly.
  4. Repeat the last two steps with the rest of the ingredients.

Step 2: Cook

  1. Finally, spray your air fryer basket with cooking oil, place the burritos into the air fryer basket and spray them with cooking oil as well.
  2. Cook the burritos at 330 degrees F for about 5 minutes or until they are warm and slightly crispy.

Step 3: Serve

Top your breakfast burritos with salsa, hot sauce, pic de gallo or any other favorite topping. Seve warm and enjoy!

Storage and Reheating

If you want to store and reheat your leftover air fryer breakfast burritos, you have a few great options!

Best Way To Store

Store any leftover breakfast burriots in an airtight container or freezer bag after completely cooled. You can also wrap them individually with cling wrap or aluminum foil.

How Long Will The Leftovers Last In the Fridge?

As long as your air fryer breakfast wraps are stored properly, they can last in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Can I Freeze Leftover Air Fryed Breakfast Burritos?

Yes, you can! As long as they are properly stored, you can freeze your leftover breakfast burritos in the freezer for up to 3 months.

How To Reheat Air Fryer Breakfast Burritos

If the burrito has been kept in the refrigerator, heat it in the microwave by wrapping it in a moist paper towel and cooking for about 1-2 minutes. If your air fryer breakfast burrito is frozen, heat it in the microwave for about for 4-6 minutes, turning halfway, through.

To reheat them in the oven, just bake at 400°F for about 20 minutes, until warmed through. You can also try your toaster oven!

Expert Tips

  • Prep your ingredients ahead of time and store them in the fridge for an easy dinner after a busy day.
  • Purchase a block of cheese rather than shredded and use a cheese grater to shred your own. It will taste much fresher.
  • If you are looking for a bit of a shortcut, use Egg Beaters rather than eggs to make your scrambled eggs.
