Is Campbell's Tomato Soup Gluten Free?
Unfortunately, that childhood staple that your mom always made with grilled cheese, Campbell's Tomato Soup, does contain gluten.
However, I have found a really great gluten free brand of canned soup that is very comparable! It is called Dei Fratelli and it can be found at most local grocery stores as well as online.
Does Campbell's Make Any Gluten Free Soups?
Sadly no, Campbell's does not currently have any soups that are free from gluten. Luckily, you can find many copycat recipes for Campbell's soup that you can make at home without the gluten.
However, Pacific Foods brand offers some similar recipes to Campbell's cooking soups such as cream of mushroom and cream of chicken.
You can find these soups at most local grocery stores and health food stores as well as online.
Is Progresso Tomato Soup Gluten Free?
You're in luck! Progresso has a really yummy tomato soup that does not contain any gluten ingredients.
It is called Progresso Vegetable Classics Tomato Basil Gluten-Free Canned Soup and it is a great alternative to your go-to gluten free tomato basil soup recipe when you're in a pinch!
You can find this wheat free tomato soup at Walmart and pretty much every other grocery store.
What Canned Tomato Soups Are Gluten Free?
You can of course whip up the Gluten Free Tomato Soup recipe that I have shared below in no time with your Instant Pot.
However, there are a few brands of tomato soup without gluten that you can snag in a hurry for a great alternative!
These soups can be found at most grocery stores near you including Target and Walmart.

Is Heinz Tomato Soup Gluten Free?
Yes! Heinz Tomato Soup contains no gluten as it uses corn starch as a thickening agent instead of wheat flour like most other tomato soups you find on the shelves.
However, it can be a bit tough to find, especially in the United States. If you really want to give it a try though, You can snag a 12 pack on Amazon.
Is Tomato Bisque Gluten Free?
Target and other grocery stores sell Pacific Foods Organic Gluten Free Hearty Tomato Bisque and it is great!
You can also of course make your own at home in a matter of minutes. Check out the recipe below!
Is There a Gluten Free Dairy Free Tomato Soup?
If you are looking for a canned dairy free tomato soup at the store, there are a couple of options:
The tomato soup recipe I share below also contains no dairy ingredients so it is perfect for those on a vegetarian or vegan diet!
Ingredients
- Diced Vidalia Onion
- Large Carrots, Chopped
- Minced Garlic
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Crushed Tomatoes
- Vegetable or Chicken Broth
- Sugar (optional)
- Tomato Paste
- Chopped Basil
- Dried Oregano
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Directions
- First, turn your Instant Pot on to the saute mode and saute the chopped onions in 1 tablespoon of oil for about 3-5 minutes until soft and slightly browned.
- Second, add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds with the onions.
- Next, deglaze any browned bits at the bottom of the pot by pouring in the broth and scraping it with a spatula.
- After that, add the chopped carrots, all of the seasonings, the crushed tomatoes, and the tomato paste.
- Following that, set your Instant Pot to HIGH pressure for 15 minutes (make sure you set it on sealing, not venting).
- Once your Instant Pot is done cooking, allow it to release the pressure naturally for about 10 minutes.
- Next, use a handheld immersion blender to puree your soup until it is smooth. You can skip this step if you prefer a chunky soup.
- Lastly, give your soup a taste test and add any extra salt and pepper or other seasonings to your liking.
- Serve and enjoy!

Equipment

Ingredients
- 1 diced Vidalia onion

- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 1-2 teaspoon sugar optional
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- ¼ cup chopped basil plus extra to garnish
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
