Ingredients
  

  • 1 whisked egg
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 thai chili pepper minced optional
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp diced green onions
  • cup honey
  • 2 tbsp gluten free tamari soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, gluten-free soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

  • Combine the cornstarch and brown sugar in a separate bowl.

  • Place the whisked egg in a separate bowl.

  • Add the chicken to the egg and coat it in the cornstarch mixture.

  • Add the olive oil to a large skillet heated to medium.

  • Add the garlic, chili pepper, and coated chicken.

  • Cook the chicken until it is slightly browned on all sides.

  • Pour the honey sauce over the chicken and sauté it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet and simmer for another for 6-8 minutes.
  • Garnish the dish with the diced green onions.

  • Serve by itself or over rice and enjoy!
